How we write
We check facts against primary sources where they exist, such as the Polish Language Council (Rada Języka Polskiego), PWN dictionaries, official PESEL name statistics on dane.gov.pl and the Unicode Consortium, and we link to them on each page. Pronunciation is given in IPA with a plain-English approximation. When sources disagree, we say so.
The audio on this site uses your browser’s built-in Polish voice. Voices differ between devices, so treat them as a guide and compare with native speakers when you can.
